Homework, Cooking, and the Baby Contest

I just love Sundays. I'm taking a break from the massive amount of homework I've been working on, as well as the cooking spree I've been on for the past week. It all started when I decided to dig out my Hershey's Cookbook last week to make some cookies--since then I've made a Cinnamon Chips Cheesecake, an Easy Chocolate and Cheese Pie, and Rocky Road Brownies. (And some seasoned barbecue chicken, though it was really something I just threw together.) Yeah, all in one week. This is a record for me. I have got to learn to make more than sweets, though. Especially since I haven't been able to go to water aerobics for the past 2 and a half weeks. My intake is more than my output right now, if you know what I mean.

Speaking of the cheesecake, Steve had a lovely little scare the other night. He had been in the shower, and when he got out he realized Clayton had left the room. So he called and called, but Clayton wouldn't respond. When he's that quiet, it's a sure sign he's doing something he's not supposed to be doing. Sure enough, Steve found him sitting on the bottom ledge of the refrigerator, mowing down on the cheesecake with his hands. He was quite a mess with it caked in his eyebrows and jammed up his nose.

Oh yeah...and speaking of nose-jamming. I had a ten hour Industrial Engineering class yesterday, so I was unable to join Steve in taking Clayton to the baby contest at the Lewisville Stoplight Festival up the road. I did call Steve on break, though, and found out Clayton got runner up for best smile. When the judges asked him to smile, he yelled, "NO," which cracked them up, and in turn made him smile...nice and big. But I couldn't quit laughing when Steve said that when they registered, he looked down and saw Clayton with both index fingers jammed up his nostrils. Just lovely.

Mama is so proud.

I find that nothing cures the craving of chocolate like cooking with it. I am so burnt out on sweets--in fact, we just ordered a pizza!

Have you ever eaten at the Cheesecake Factory? They have something like 60 flavors of cheesecake. I went there when I was pregnant and bought an entire which chocolate cheesecake. Pricy, but SCRUMPTIOUS!

My b-day is in Feb., too. I'll get you a cheesecake if you get me a cheesecake! LOL
