It seems as if I'm in a bit of a slump. But I'm not. No, I'm seldom without words, though I am often without time.
I'm working on papers and projects out the wazoo, though I'm not even sure where my wazoo is at this point in time. Wherever it is, I'm sure it needs to be getting to bed soon.
We're trying desperately to get things all set up and in order for Clayton's big birthday bash this Saturday. Who knew there could be so much work into putting together a party for a 2 year old! We said we were going to condense the invitation list this year, but after reviewing the RSVPs it looks like we're still going to have around fifty. And 99% of that is family, so we can't omit anyone. Besides, we don't want to leave anyone out because it's fun for us, too. It's about the only way we can get all of our families together under the same roof. Last year the theme was "Home on the Range" and this year we opted for John Deere, complete with a tractor pinata for the kiddies since Clayton is infatuated with "tracty's" and any other big farm equipment his little eyes land on.
Midterms are going just dandy. Saturday was my last Industrial Engineering Technology class, and it couldn't have come a moment too soon. The Saturday format is great because the classes are only 4 weeks, but 10 hour days can get, um...BORING. It really was an interesting course, though. Then Monday I had my OSHA midterm, which I seemed to have the big head about. I was so confident that I flew through the exam and then afterwards when I reviewed my notes in the bathroom stall I was all but cursing myself. This Thursday I have a paper due, which is almost complete, but yet I'm still not sure what I am even doing with my preschoolers at church tomorrow night. I've simply got to come up with some new crafts, yet it can get tricky when it comes to picking out simple, inexpensive crafts that coordinate with Bible stories most suitable for 3-5 year olds.
And I'm out of diet cherry cokes. I don't even know how I'm going to make it through the night.
