Start of Another Fantastic Week

I'm fried tonight, so bear with me if I'm not coherent enough to complete a thought. For anyone who has ever gone full speed on an Arc Trainer for thirty minutes and/or ran/walked briskly on a treadmill and/or lifted lotsa weights, you can probably relate to the drained, yet euphoric sensation. I've also been tanning quite a bit this month, which, even though it does wonders for my back pain (doctor suggested, even!), I'm sure it doesn't help any other necessary body part function.

Friday is our Sweetheart Dance at the 4th Floor Blues Club in Richmond. I'm really pumped, but I have a little black dress dilemma: I have two, and I can't make up my mind which to wear. I'd post pics, but taking pics of them on a hanger does no justice to the look and I can't very well try them both on and have my husband take pics. That would be like, bad luck or something. But I'm real impressed with my fab finds: Both are designer formal dresses and, combined, cost less than $30. I'm not a big name brand seeker, but hey, when I find a good deal, I simply cannot resist. One is long sleeved, crushed velvet, form-fitting with slits from the neck to the wrist. The other is backless, ties around the neck, and plummets nearly to my naval.

I witnessed a gas spill today. I'd never seen anything like it in my life. After driving to three different gas stations looking for diet cherry coke, I finally settled on a Starbuck's vanilla frappuccino. I wasn't happy, but I had to hurry up the process because not only was I sick of driving to different gas stations on the quest for the d.c.c., but I also needed to get to the Y so I could maximize my two hour workout before they closed their childcare for the evening. Anyway, there's a line in Speedway and all of a sudden a clerk goes running out of the store and people in the line are in a tizzy. "Shut down the pumps! Call 9-1-1! Call the fire department!" When I looked out the window, sure enough, there was a stream of gasoline making its way across the parking lot. No big deal, but I was just waiting on someone to chuck a cigarette and us all be set ablaze.

I am officially signed up to take my LSAT now. Yes, law school is on my agenda. Actually, I think it's more of a challenge for the time being, as I'm anxious to just see if I get accepted. I'm not planning to apply until fall of '07 since I still have to take two classes to get my Purdue degree after I receive my IU degree this spring. Seems a bit complicated, like I'm hanging on to being a full-time student, but I know this too shall pass. I was originally planning to take the LSAT on June 12th, but then when I went to register online today I found that for that particular date, I would have to go to the next state to do it. I like road trips; not particularly fond of them by myself, though. So, I (begrudgingly) paid the $118 fee, printed out my ticket, and am all set for September 30th. At least I have all summer to study now. That's my new mission.

Wow. I'm getting so sleepy. I was planning to catch up on reading some other blogs tonight but I think I'll have to do that tomorrow, sometime between the graduation fair, the Valentine's booth I'm manning for a fundraiser, the homework, and studying for my test on Weds. Good golly, it's going to be a long week...
