Post of Pics

I'm back home and things are satisfactory for the time being. Though I'm brimming with commentary about recent events--including all the mining mishaps, the James Frey scandal, and the State of the Union address--I am simply posting some recent pics tonight. I have a to-do list that fills an entire legal pad-sized piece of paper, so this will be brief so I can make some progress on other things in these wee hours of Feb. 1st.

Twilight Ski--Friday night (from 7 p.m.-3 a.m.) the husband and I embarked on a ski trip adventure with other students from my college. We got a killer rate and, even though neither of us are skiers (it's only the 2nd time I've ever been), we had an awesome time. In fact, we're going to try to go back this coming weekend. (Hint: If you've never been skiing and have the opportunity to take a "lesson," DO!) The only downfall, literally, was slamming into the turtle-like vegetarian of our group who didn't hear me careening down the slope at full speed. We were on an embankment and couldn't stand up, so consequently, I had to roll down the rest of the hill.

Late Night at Pawpaw's--Clayton brought me the camera and said, "Take a pic, mommy." So I got a bit carried away with the cam. This is just one of the umpteen hundred pics I took that night.

Camo Meg--Taken circa Dec. 30th, this was shot just before venturing out with my new gadget, the Discovery 1100 Metal Detector. Meg is seen here sporting the new Columbia jacket purchased by Bob, an authentic FBI hat, and an array of colored mascaras by Avon. It's the most make-up I've seen her wear in our entire 10 year friendship.

Best Seat in the House--Today, the laundry basket. Tomorrow, an overstuffed Lazy-Boy.

Second Best Seat in the House--Not really, but for some reason, Clayton took a liking to this horrid wooden chair my dad uses for his computer in my old room.

Roll With It, Little Man.

Another Favorite Seat, the Tonka.

Talk about getting "cheesy" for the camera. I just found this one when I uploaded the pics. Must be daddy's doin's.
